What is Low Vision?

Low Vision may be defined as insufficient vision to do the things you want & need to do. The loss of vision cannot be corrected by regular glasses, medical treatment, or surgery and can result from disease, injury, or birth defects.

There are over 15 million Americans who have significant difficulties with their vision - you may be one of them.  If you have trouble reading the newspaper, paying your bills (even with your reading glasses), or recognizing familiar faces,  you are not alone. Help is there for you!

Low Vision Services of Southern Colorado helps people with low vision function as fully, independently, and comfortably as possible by providing devices, information, and technology.
